The Star of the Colorado Garden-
The Mountain Tomato!
Tomato Essentials
Determinate means “Bush” Bush (compact) tomatoes set most tomatoes at once at end of season, or a "determined" number of tomatoes at a certain point of the season. Good for canning. Great for containers. Indeterminate means “Vining” Vining tomatoes produce tomatoes and grow throughout the season until weather concludes the growth. Having a structure for them to grow on is a necessity, such as a cage or a stake. These plants flourish in gardens versus containers. Semi-Determinate means “A little of both” Our seed source is adapted from just below the Wet Mountains of Colorado at 8000 feet. The Pikes Peak region, with an elevation of 6000 feet is the perfect place to grow these Heirloom treasures. Please check out the "Plant Care" tab to read more about taking care of tomatoes in our unique horticultural region (high, arid, desert with extreme weather). This is why we sell Colorado Mountain Tomatoes! |
